Regenerative Therapies

Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP)

PRP is an abbreviation for Platelet Rich Plasma also known as “ACP” the abbreviation for Autologous Conditioned Plasma. PRP concentrates the healing properties of platelets found in the blood. PRP is most often used for tendon and ligament repair and can be performed the same day. It is often effective with just one injection.

IRAP

IRAP (Interleukin-1 Receptor Antagonist Protein) is another product that is concentrated from the horses' own blood.  It contains natural anti-inflammatory properties.  This therapy is typically used for joint treatment.  IRAP preparation requires overnight incubation.  It can be stored frozen for later use.

ProStride

ProStride is a combination of PRP and IRAP that can be collected, processed, and injected on the same day.  This is also a portable system and can be performed in the field if necessary.

Stem Cells

Stem cell therapy is another regenerative therapy that is chosen for some musculoskeletal injuries.  This can be harvested from fat or bone marrow and sent to a lab for preparation, then injected into the select site.
